An audition is a snapshot, on one particular day, of each guitarist who applies for a place in the National Youth Guitar Ensemble. In order for our audition panel to gain as full a picture as possible of each candidate, we highly value a musical reference from their current guitar teacher. We very much enjoy to hear of achievements and successes, but we are equally interested to discover areas that are ‘works in progress’ or aspects of playing that are a current developmental focus. All this helps us achieve a greater understanding of every guitarist’s musical experience to-date.
NYGE aims to give constructive and positive feedback which we would like to share with you as well as with your student.
